Hawai’ian chants and musical lyrics are veiled in kaona (hidden meaning). Beautifully and poetically phrased in metaphor and illusion, they can only be understood and fully appreciated through cultural knowledge. Join us as we guide you through ancient chants and modern hulas, exploring and revealing the many layers of expressions and emotions cleverly concealed within the poetry of hula.
